The Use of Task-based Learning to Develop English Speaking

          Speaking English, the international language, can open your ways and give you a lot of opportunities to do many advantages thing in 21st century. Not only in school lessons or working, but English could bring you to the other cultures and wisdom. Following the before sentences, it can be said that English is the powerful language. However, it is not easy for most of English for Second Language (ESL) learners to speak English fluently. Especially, ones who have not learnt since they were young. Accordingly, it is the responsibility for teacher to find the ways to solve these problems. One of the ways to encourage and improve students' English speaking ability is task-based learning.  Accordingly,The Use of Task-based Learning to Develop English Speaking study will be guided.  Could the task-based learning develop students English speaking? And what are they consist of?

         Before teaching someone effectively, to try out the way to teach them appropriately is still needed. In this study task-based learning plays the important role in teaching method and learning style.The purposes is  to develop English speaking ability of Mattayomsuksa 2 students at Banmarkkaeng School in Udon Thani Province through task-based learning. The
informants were 20 Mattayomsuksa 2 students gained via random sampling. The instruments
used for collecting data were three lesson plans, a pre-post speaking test, a teacher’s
observation form and a students’ self-assessment form. The data were statistically analyzed
by mean, standard deviation, and t-test for dependent samples.
 The results of this study indicated that the English speaking ability of Mattayomsuksa 2
students through task-based learning after the experiment was significantly higher at the .01
level. It means that the task-based learning was very useful in English language learning for Mattayomsuksa 2 students. Students can improve their English speaking skill through the tasks.
It encourages students to learning by doing that could make them more memorable.

           To summarize, to teach students speaking fluently is not an easy task for teacher. Moreover, if teachers teach the speaking skill in the the language that is not the mother tongue, it will be more difficult. Teachers have to find the the way to teach and support them in learning speaking appropriately. According to this issue, the task-basked learning  is focused. Besides, the result of the issue was good. The students could learn speaking through doing the tasks. Their English speaking ability was developed. The use of task-based is not only to develop students English speaking, but improve students the ways to communicate in real world also. Therefore, task-based learning is a good choice for developing English speaking that should be applied in EFL classes.

Storm at Sea

               Have you ever heard about powerful disaster before? You might be seen its effect from the news. Some of disaster is very severe but some of them are not. There are many fearsome natural disasters that no one hopes to experience it in the world. However, one of the most dangerous disasters is a storm at sea. With its strength, ti can blow the wind to whip the wave in the sea horribly. Hence, the unfortunate ship can be broke easily when the storm comes. It is harmful and destructive lots of thing in a very short time.
                A storm at sea may be marked by a strong wind, heavy rain, lightning and other severe weather. Moreover, it can go on for many hours with constant vigor. There are many kinds of storm. One of the most well-known storms was a Hurricane or we also called typhoons. They can cove ran area as wide as 450 miles as they move across the ocean.  It can make the howling winds, the gigantic waves. Many ships have faced that situation before and some of them are sunk. Accordingly, it is very harmful for the ship. In the emergency situation, the navigator has to select the best direction to escape from the storm. The direction and location of a typhoon can be predicted by weather report. The weather report can help captains to avoid the storm. If they follow the weather report, they will know the direction of the storm. So, captains can change course away from the storm. It is true that the storm at sea or the natural disasters are strong and cruel, but humans should find the ways to protect themselves and avoid from it. 

                To sum up, no matter how large or how powerful engines the ship is, it is always feeble and easily ruin when caught in storm. Surely, no one wants to face it, but sometimes we cannot escape from it.  People have to learn how to do and survive when face that horror experience. For people who had faced the storm at sea and could help the ship from sinking was excellent. Therefore, the easy way to keep away from the sea was following weather report before shipping, itcan be a good way to avoid storm at sea and unexpected tragedy.
