David Copperfield

David Copperfield is the story which related to Charles Dickens, a writer of the book, when he was a child.  When I have read it, it suddenly becomes one of my favorite books now. According to the story that Charles Dickens wrote inspired me to continue and concentrate on the destination of my life again. It was the story of the poor boy named, David Copperfield. He faced many troubles and misfortune. However, his enthusiasm and his attempt made his life is better. The story was happened in the Industrial Revolution of the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. The story tells the David Copperfield's life when he was a child till adult.

David's father died before he was born. His aunt left him when she knew he was a boy, because she likes a girl. Afterwards, his mother get married again with Mr. Burdstone, a greedy man. So David's life was not so happy. Fortunately, he had got his mother and his nanny called, Peggotty. . The Murdstones treat David cruelly, and David bites Mr. Murdstone’s hand during one beating. The Murdstones send David away to school. Peggotty takes David to visit her family in Yarmouth, where David meets Ham and Little Emily. After this visit, David attends school at Salem House. David befriends and idolizes an egotistical young man named James Steerforth. David also befriends Tommy Traddles.

Unfortunately, David’s mother dies with harmful illness, and David returns home, where the Murdstones neglect him. He works at Mr. Murdstone’s wine-bottling business and moves in with Mr. Micawber, who mismanages his finances. When Mr. Micawber leaves London to escape his creditors, David decides to search for his father’s sister, Miss Betsey Trotwood—his only living relative. He walks a long distance to Miss Betsey’s home, and she takes him in on the advice of her mentally unstable friend, Mr. Dick. Miss Betsey sends David to a school run by a man named Doctor Strong. David moves in with Mr. Wickfield and his daughter, Agnes, while he attends school. Agnes and David become best friends. Among Wickfield’s boarders is Uriah Heep, a snakelike young man who often involves himself in matters that are none of his business.
On his way to Yarmouth, he would like to visit Peggotty.  David encounters James Steerforthr to go with him. They arrive in Yarmouth, where Steerforth and the Peggottys become fond of one another.  David apprentices himself at the London firm of Spenlow. Mr. Spenlow invites David to his house for a weekend. There, David meets Spenlow’s daughter, Dora, and quickly falls in love with her. Afterwards, Miss Betsey comes London to inform David that she is broke because Mr. Wickfield trick.  Dora and David marry, and Dora proves a terrible housewife. Nevertheless, life keep changing all the time. Dora falls ill and dies. His love for Agnes grows. When David returns, he and Agnes get married and have several children. David pursues his writing career, Pleasingly, his writing is very popular and success.
To summarize, story give me inspiration to be strong to face with the fate. Although, you will face tough time in your life, do not be get up. To the goal of success, you should work hard and enthuse with your goal. Surely, on the way to reach your goal, you might get tired. Sometimes, you may lose your way, but David Coppefield told me that 'be patient'. No one has only tough times, the happiness will come to the people who are aware in themselves and never give up to the fate. Remember that "You can fate your fate".
