The
Amnesty Bill Protest
Do you agree with the amnesty bill protest? What will
happen of the amnesty bill, giving some benefits to Taksin Chinnawatra and his
colleagues, is passed. It represents that the authoritarians in Thailand can
easily help their group from the wrong things they did. Surely, it is not a
fair way for civilization social. Accordingly, protest is one of the right ways
for Thai citizens to express their opinions against the government’ dishonest
actions.
Both worldwide and nationwide news agency reported
that the protest started with a large group of Thai citizens from several
careers, for example doctors, actors, civil servants, businessmen, farmers, and
so on. Besides, it started from disagreement about passing a controversial amnesty bill which
allows the former leader, Taksin Chinnawatra, to return home without punishment
from what he did. Thus, amnesty bill protest has been widely supported.
Nowadays, the protest is not only against the amnesty
bill, but also the government’s rice subsidy and other schemes. These schemes
wasted our tax more than 400 billions baht in two years. It lost our country
with a lot of money for nothing benefits to the Thai. Consequently, protest is
a good way to stop these schemes that can lead our country go bankrupt.
Moreover, this protest is called for Thailand’s reformation in the future.
However, Prime Minister Yingluck Chinnawatra said
that, the protest must be stopped for the peace of our country. Then. she
invoked the security power and forced the protesters. These increased the
disagreement between the government and the citizens harder and harder.
Nevertheless, the Civil Court said that, the protesters could join the protest
freely without the violence. The government cannot use the enforcing to stop
the protest because it will be illegal. Therefore, the protest within the
democratic law keeps going with a large amount of people.
In conclusion, the amnesty bill protest spread wider
and wide against the injustice. People have many different ideas about the
situation in the protest. The politic conflict in Thailand is severer and hard
to control. Now what will the government
do? Do we let them continue their corrupted actions, and stand on the ruins of
our country together? If your answer is ‘No’, join the protest against the
tyrannic government.
